28-HOUR ILLINOIS ARMED SECURITY STATE CERTIFICATION CLASS – REVOLVER/SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL 08/19/26 – 08/21/26 – 8:00 am – 6:00 pm

This comprehensive 28-hour course is designed to prepare individuals for employment as armed security professionals in the state of Illinois. Through a combination of classroom instruction and hands-on training, participants will gain essential knowledge and skills in firearm safety, Illinois state laws and regulations governing armed security, conflict resolution, and emergency response techniques. The course emphasizes responsible firearm handling and situational awareness to ensure safety and professionalism in the field. Upon successful completion, participants will receive certification to carry a revolver, meeting state requirements for armed security professionals.

• Weapons and ammo are provided.
• FOID cards are not required for the class.
• A FOID card is only needed to be employed as an armed security officer.

Pre-requisites:

• Must be 21 and have completed the 20-hour unarmed class or have a valid PERC.
